Ripon Say Goodbye to Jess


Ripon sadly had to say goodbye to Senior Coach Jess Leech who is leaving as her work takes her to the Midlands. We'll miss her. Jess is a highly-experienced and well-respected figure in the VX Community. We wish her well in her new job and hope she manages to establish a new VX Club in the Midlands

Ripon's Highest Rank Ever!


Congratulations to Ripon Vanquish who break York's stranglehold and become a new name on the UK Club Championship Trophy. Ripon have had a lot of success in the past but York have remained the dominant force. Vanquish are delighted to have now got their name on the highest level club trophy available in VX!

Ripon VX Club Awards


Congratulations to Olliver Stocks and Joe Willis! Joe won Player of the Year (and also won the District Youth V2 League). Ollie won Junior Player of the Year - and coincidentally also won the District Junior V2 League. Ollie also competed in the youth V2 World Cup in Italy gaining a very creditable ranking of 3rd

Congratulations to Tom, Jill. Olli Jess & Jess


Ripon had a very successful representation at the 2017 V2 World Cup. In the Youth category Ollie Stocks improved his ranking to 3rd. Jess Porter, for the second year running was runner-up and also for the second year running was winner of the coveted Cornerstones Award. In the seniors Jess Leech became the highest ranked woman in the category and Tom was runner-up again, losing in the final by a mere 3 points! In the Masters Jill Stocks won the Craig Buttery Trophy and thereby became the third-highest ranked female player across all categories!

Following on from his 2nd place at the V2 World Championships, Head Coach Tom also led the England team which won the European Championships in Bilbao. There was also a V2 (singles) part of the event and in the final Tom met Scott Snowdon who beat him in the World Cup Final. This time the honours went to Tom - V2 European Champion!


Jill Stocks was also making her England debut in the championships and was delighted to come away with a European Championship medal

Congratulations to Martyn Ayres & Emily Purll


Congratulations to Martyn & Emily who won the Junior V4 at VE England's Knockout Festival. In an all Ripon final they beat John and Jhapin.

Congratulations to Oliver Stocks


Congratulations to Oliver who became V2 National Champion in the Junior category. And well done to John Durkin who improved his ranking and to Martin Ayres & Jhapin Shahi who also did well in their first National Finals. In the Youth category, Joe Willis came a very creditable third and won the Fair Play Award

In the seniors Tom Hildreth also came a very creditable third and Jess Leech improved her ranking to 6th to be the highest ranked woman in the country



Ripon VX Club is growing fast. Run by England captain Tom Hildreth, a former double world champion in VX, Ripon has had a number of successes
